Heli-One Launches “Supporting the Legacy” Campaign March 06, 2017

March 6, 2017 – Richmond, British Columbia, Canada – Heli-One, a leading global provider of helicopter maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, is proud to announce the launch of the "Supporting the Legacy" campaign to promote the continued support of the Sikorsky S-61 aircraft. Through the "Supporting the Legacy" campaign, Heli-One's mission is to provide maintenance support for S-61 operators to ensure this durable aircraft continues to fly for years to come as a mainstay of the industry.

The S-61 has been in operation since the 1960s and Heli-One has supported this reliable platform for more than 40 years. Heli-One offers in excess of 200 proprietary repairs and extensive upgrade modifications that are designed to help safely and reliably extend the life of this aircraft for operators. The aircraft is primarily used in utility missions, but is also actively deployed for military purposes.

Heli-One's nose-to-tail MRO offerings for the S-61 also include all levels of inspections and checks, dynamics, airframes, hydraulics, and avionics. The commitment to this aircraft goes beyond typical maintenance work. Heli-One has hundreds of innovative repairs to save parts typically deemed Beyond Economical Repair (BER) and has worked with operators to find solutions to safely extend the lifespan of the aircraft. Among these solutions includes modernization projects. A recent modernization project involved a military operator upgrading its fleet flight displays. The upgrade has four digital displays and a new flight management system – a service that is expected to add an additional 15 years of service to the aircraft, while also expanding operational capability. Through Heli-One's extensive experience with this platform, any number of modifications to modernize or reconfigure aircraft can be deployed to maximize use.

Heli-One continues to hold an extensive inventory of S-61 components for exchange, allowing operators to minimize downtime from service. Heli-One Canada is also promoting their Engine Accessory Workshop which services CT58 engine accessories with competitive pricing and quick turnaround times.
