Heli-One, a leading global provider of rotor-wing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, today announced it is expanding its relationship with ITP Aero, a global leader in the rotor wing engines market, to deliver novel and additional maintenance, repair and overhaul products and services for their joint global customer bases.
The companies offer a broad range of complimentary services and have a track record of working together extensively to support Heli-One’s sister company, CHC Helicopter. This latest agreement will expand their relationship to support military, para-public and private aircraft fleets in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific markets.
Areas Heli-One has identified to deliver enhanced customer value include utilising its global presence to integrate or extend ITP Aero’s Engine Diagnosis and Health Monitoring service onto a variety of major aircraft (for example, the S-92, AW189, AW139, and AS332) to existing and new customers.
Benefit’s ITP Aero will enjoy include access to Heli-One’s global footprint of maintenance shops and logistics services, and jointly deploying mobile repair teams with Heli-One to offer service such as engine removal and installation, module swaps and borescoping.
Carolyn Forsyth, General Manager, Heli-One said: “Our enhanced relationship with ITP means we can combine our complimentary services to deliver efficient and effective solutions for a wider base of customers globally. We operate in different locations and have found that, by working together, we can provide a stronger full service offering and greater capacity to match customers evolving needs. Together, we will remove logistical and procurement barriers for highly specialised services, deliver maximal value for our customers, and keep more aircraft flying around the world.”
Pablo Fuentes, Head of In Service Support, added: “CHC Helicopter has been the major big helicopter operator to embrace our Engine Diagnosis and Health Monitoring service as a means to set a new and higher standard in engine maintenance. This is why ITP Aero can turn around Heli-One engines in less than 30 days. Through collaborative efforts, we can disseminate our expertise to other helicopter operators.
Carolyn concluded: “Today’s announcement is the next step in taking our partnership to greater heights. We are extremely excited to develop new and novel services and bring them to market together. We are in close conversation with our customers and manufacturers and will have more news to share soon.”
